From Arithmetic Facts to Mathematical Reasoning
Third-grade number work often shifts from repeated addition toward multiplication and division relationships. This collection begins with times-table and exact-division rounds, then adds larger whole-number calculations, missing-number equations, target puzzles and money challenges.
Facts are useful because they reduce working-memory load, but speed alone is not the goal. Encourage the learner to notice fact families: if 7 × 8 = 56, then 56 ÷ 8 = 7 and 56 ÷ 7 = 8. Puzzle games then help the learner choose operations rather than merely respond to a fixed symbol.

How to Choose the Difficulty
Use the times-table round if multiplication facts are not yet reliable. Move to exact division when the learner can connect a quotient to a product. The larger-number level is useful for place-value calculation, while Missing Number and Target Number add reasoning after the basic procedures feel familiar.
Fractions are also an important third-grade topic, but the current games do not yet provide a complete visual fraction lesson. A dedicated Fraction Challenge remains in the planned expansion rather than being simulated with thin content here.
