Formula and how it works
Cost per acre = total field costs ÷ field area in acres. Cost per hectare = total field costs ÷ field area in hectares. The area conversion uses 1 hectare = 2.4710538147 acres.
Example
If the field’s entered expenses total $24,000 across 80 acres, estimated cost is $300 per acre. The per-hectare result is the equivalent rate for the same field.
This is an enterprise budget estimate. Allocate shared farm expenses to the crop or field consistently, and keep all entries in the selected currency; the calculator does not convert currencies.
