Crop profit calculator: revenue, cost, ROI and break-even
Gross revenue is the value of the expected harvested crop before expenses. Net profit subtracts the entered production costs. ROI compares net profit with total cost, while the break-even price shows the selling price per kilogram needed for gross revenue to equal the entered costs.
Gross revenue = total crop yield × selling price
Total cost = area × (seed + fertilizer + irrigation + labour + machinery + other cost per area)
Net profit = gross revenue − total cost
ROI = net profit ÷ total cost × 100
The result also shows an 80% / 100% / 120% yield sensitivity view. That is useful for testing whether a plan still works when actual yield falls below your expected value.
Seed rate and plant population calculator
For a rate-based estimate, convert the field to the same unit used by the seed-rate recommendation and multiply. For row crops, the theoretical number of planting positions is field area divided by the area occupied by each row-by-plant spacing rectangle.
Germination and field-establishment adjustments are optional because extension recommendations are not all defined the same way. Do not automatically reduce or inflate a published seed rate unless you know how that recommendation was derived.

Pakistan farming is commonly organised around Rabi and Kharif seasons. What does a crop calculator calculate?

How do I calculate how much seed I need?
Multiply field area by the seed rate after converting both to the same area unit. If you intentionally enable germination and establishment adjustment, the calculator increases the base quantity to account for those percentages.
How do I calculate crop profit per acre?
Calculate gross revenue from expected yield and selling price, subtract all entered production costs, then divide net profit by acres. The result also shows ROI and break-even values.
How is irrigation water calculated from millimetres?
One millimetre over one square metre equals one litre. The calculator scales that relationship to your whole field and optionally adjusts gross application for the efficiency you enter.
Is this a crop calendar for Pakistan and Punjab?

Does the fertilizer calculator tell me what fertilizer rate to use?
No. It only calculates quantity from your chosen rate. Use a soil test and current local agronomy guidance to select the rate and product.
What does one maund mean here?
The Pakistan-oriented conversions use 1 metric maund = 40 kg. Use kilograms or tonnes if your local market uses a different definition.
