How to Play Daily Word Search

Find every word listed below the letter grid. A word occupies one straight horizontal, vertical or diagonal line. Tap its first letter and then its last letter, or drag along the word. You can select the line in either direction. Words cannot turn a corner or wrap from one edge of the board to another.

A correct word is underlined on the board and checked off in the list. A found word remains visible and may cross another word at a shared letter. Selecting a word twice does not add another completion. An invalid selection simply clears the line and lets you try again; there is no attempt limit.

The original word sets cover math and numbers, office tasks, and money and business. Each target word is checked to occur exactly once on its generated board, counting a path and its reverse as the same location. Extra letters are fillers; only the displayed target words are required to finish.

Scan for Letters and Straight Lines

For NUMBER, first look for N, then inspect the neighboring letters for U. Continue in that same direction through M, B, E and R. Once the entire line matches, select its endpoints. Checking a distinctive letter pair can be faster than rereading every row from left to right.

Easy uses an 8×8 grid and six words placed left-to-right or downward. Normal uses 9×9 and eight words, adding both diagonal slopes. Hard uses 10×10 and ten words with all eight directions, including reversed placements. The selection can run backward in any level even when the printed word runs forward.

Clear removes an unfinished selection. Hint outlines one remaining word without automatically checking it off; select its endpoints to find it. Hints are recorded as assistance in the result. If a drag ends outside a valid straight line, begin again or use the two-tap endpoint method for a more precise selection.

A Daily Word Puzzle with Saved Progress

Daily changes at midnight UTC. The same level and date produce the same theme, target words and grid. Restart repeats that board. Practice creates new puzzles when you choose New game. Each mode and level keeps a separate saved game, including found words and active playing time.

Use the keyboard as well as touch or a mouse. Arrow keys move between letters. Press Enter or Space on the first letter, move to the last letter, then press again. Escape clears an unfinished selection, and Tab reaches the other controls. Dragging is optional, so the game remains usable without a precise swipe.

Your completed-puzzle count, daily streak and best unassisted time save in this browser. Daily completions also update the shared practice calendar. The clock pauses while the tab is hidden, and there is no time limit. Clearing browser data removes local progress; no account or cross-device sync is required.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I select a word backward?

Yes. Either endpoint order is accepted. The selected letters must form one straight horizontal, vertical or diagonal line.

Does Hint automatically find the word?

No. It outlines a word as assistance. You still select its first and last letter to check it off.

Can I use taps instead of dragging?

Yes. Tap the first letter, then the last. Keyboard users can select the endpoints with Enter or Space.
