Formula and Calculation Method
Torque method: hp = torque(lb·ft) × RPM ÷ 5252.113. Wheel-to-crank estimate: crank hp = wheel hp ÷ (1 − drivetrain loss).

With 300 lb·ft of torque at 5,000 RPM, calculated power is about 285.6 hp. In wheel-horsepower mode, 250 WHP with a 15% assumed drivetrain loss corresponds to roughly 294.1 hp at the crank. Both methods expose their assumptions so the estimate can be reproduced.

How to Interpret the Result
Engine power varies across the RPM range. The torque-and-RPM method calculates power at one operating point. The wheel-to-crank method is only an estimate because drivetrain losses are not perfectly constant and dyno readings depend on equipment, correction standards and test conditions.
