Use the calculator as a learning partner

Ask the learner to estimate or work out a problem first, then use the Kids Calculator to check the result. This keeps the tool connected to number sense rather than replacing it.

Keep practice short and specific

Choose one skill at a time: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, counting, time, money, fractions or number patterns. Five to ten focused minutes can be easier to repeat than a long mixed session.

Choose by current skill, not only age

Children progress at different speeds and school curricula differ. Start with questions the learner can mostly solve, then increase difficulty when accuracy and confidence are stable.
